Before you run the tool you MUST set up the config first to prevent errors!

Open the ud_abort.ini file and put in the path- or filenames as the examples in the ud_abort.ini show Please make sure that the directories are seperated by a slash '/' not a backslash '\' with no ending slash after the dirnames and to state the COMPLETE name like 'C:/yourfolder/yourotherfolder/...' Furthermore please make sure that the length of those file- and directorynames is no longer than about 100 letters...

The ud_abort.ini needs the following parameters:

logfile - The logfile from UD Monitor where the WU Completions and Aborts are saved
ud_agent - The directory of the UD Agent
ud_backup - The directory of the main backup folder where the numbered subdirectorys for the backups from UD Monitor are stored
ud_con - The full filename of the UD_Control Program (ud_con.exe) that should be in the UD Monitor folder

So the ud_abort.ini should look for example like this:

This tool will only work together with UD Monitor from Roman Mamedov which can be obtained from here http://udmon.sourceforge.net/

You need to have the backup functionality from UD Mon enabled! To do that open UD Mon -> Settings -> Interface and enable 'Backup' Under the new 'backup'-tab you can enable automatic backup after a fixed timespan or after a number of saves. Furthermore you might want to enable the UD Mon setting 'Detect aborted WUs' (UD Mon -> Settings -> UD Agent)

This tool has been tested at an Win XP Pro computer with UD Monitor Version 4.45 in english.

The tool could have errors if you have too many cache slots, to many backup slots, a different UD Mon language, too long filenames, no cache slots at all, a to high refresh interval for UD Mon and UD Abort (try to keep it at 1 second)... Well thats all I can think of right now...

* What this tool will do!
********************************************************************************
This tool will monitor the UD Mon WU logfile for aborts! If an abort is detected the last backup of that slot is searched. The UD Agent will be stopped with the help of the UD Con then the aborted UD Agent files will be deleted and the backup copied into the Agent dir. Then the Agent will be started again. Following an abort the tool will wait for 2 minutes before it starts monitoring again. This way a loop of abort-backup-abort-backup will be prevented. Every WU Completion and WU Abort is logged in the ud_abort_log.txt.
